Archant has topped the social media charts and recorded significant audience growth for its websites in the regional ABC Figures, which were released on Thursday 1 March 2018. In both sets of figures, numerous Archant titles have made it to the top spots.
Eight Archant titles have featured in the top ten results for year-on-year growth on Facebook. The North Norfolk News topped the results with an audience increase of 137%, whilst The East Anglian Daily Times has recorded an 85% increase and the Herts Advertiser sits in third position with a 61% rise. Also amongst the top ten are the Ilford Recorder, Norwich Evening News, and the Ipswich Star.
Seven of Archant’s titles have also been placed in the top ten for Twitter follower growth.
Additionally, Archant has seen strong audience growth numbers for its websites during the period of July to December 2017, with ten of our brands featuring in the top fifteen fastest-growing regional news brands.
The Reporter, a London-based platform, topped the charts with 76% growth, while the East Anglian Daily Times, Lowestoft Journal, Ilford Recorder, East London Advertiser and Great Yarmouth Mercury websites all recorded web audience increases of over 40%.
Steve Anglesey, Digital Content Director at Archant said: 'These numbers are the result of sheer hard work by our talented content teams and also the many months of effort we have put in behind the scenes on digital best practice and site performance.
We’ve come a long way digitally in the last two years but there is still a long way to go. The next step is to start rolling out our improved site designs and UX, which we expect to do in the next few weeks.'
