Archant Information Services, predominantly based in Norwich, is responsible for providing IT support to Archant employees throughout the Group. Day to day, this starts with our in-house 1st line Service Desk, through to 2nd and 3rd line technical support teams. Internal development teams support business needs and requirements to deliver small, medium and large projects.
We are currently looking for a systems developer to join our talented and progressive team. The role will give exposure to all aspects of the software development life cycle, from analysis of requirements to programming solutions and providing integrated test plans.
Key responsibilities will be:
Either through work or study the successful candidate must have a basic understanding of database relational theory from normalisation and referential integrity, to general data extraction and manipulation through SQL queries. Exposure to the event-driven programming paradigm in a Windows client environment with the ability to demonstrate a detailed knowledge of VB.NET and its usage in a commercial environment would be an advantage.
As well as a background in development, you will have the ability to communicate and build relationships with people at all levels and be able to plan and manage your own workload working within tight deadlines.
