Our vibrant offices in Barking have an opportunity for a part-time Media Sales Executive. With views of Canary Wharf and just a short walk into the town centre, break out kitchen facilities and only five minutes walk from Barking underground station we offer a fantastic working environment. This role will see you working on our successful East London and Essex titles which are well-established brands that are much loved by the communities they serve.
Working within a fantastic team environment, you will be speaking to potential and existing customers and selling them the opportunity to advertise in our strong local newspapers and online products. When you aren’t calling clients, you will be uploading adverts onto the system, passing these on to be designed and chasing customers to approve their advert so that you can process the order.
Within this role you will have a real chance to develop and progress. The role will also be responsible for ad hoc projects and supplements within our well-known products.
You are a motivated individual with experience working in a fast-paced telephone sales environment, with a thorough understanding of the sales process and a professional, consultative approach.
You are confident picking up the telephone and will enjoy building relationships and communicating the benefits of our market-leading advertising services, and will be used to anticipating and overcoming objections.
You are a charismatic and proactive self-starter who enjoys working on your own initiative, and are outgoing, personable and unwaveringly positive. You are also highly organised with exceptional attention to detail, and while we’re not looking for techie geeks, you are a web user and know your Twitter from your Instagram.
Above all else, you are a trustworthy and hardworking individual, passionate about selling and someone who gets a real buzz from hunting for sales and achieving results, whilst thriving under the pressure of a target-driven environment.
