Are you interested in joining the UK's largest independently owned regional media business, as an Events Assistant? Our prestigious portfolio of magazines such as Cotswold Life, Devon Life and Cornwall Life host some of region’s most successful events, including food and drink, community and sports events, through to large-scale business awards.

We are looking for a dynamic, hardworking, self-motivated and confident person to work within our successful events team in Cheltenham, covering the whole of the South West. This is a busy and diverse role which requires good organisational skills as you will be pivotal in some of the region’s most prestigious events and awards. Working for two events managers, you must be comfortable deputising in their absence, along with attending events across the South West.

The ideal candidate will have a high level of written and verbal English partnered with a creative flair and a keen eye for detail. You must be able to use social media platforms, Microsoft Office packages, and experience of using Word Press and Google Analytics would be desirable though not essential as training will be provided. You will work closely with internal and external contacts to make Archant’s events and exhibitions the most prestigious in their regions.

To be successful in this role you will have strong organisational, communication and financial skills, and be confident using social media channels to distribute and amplify the company’s content, reputation and drive website traffic. You will have a desire to work within a team focused on providing excellent customer service, have a friendly and professional disposition and be comfortable dealing with all areas of a successful media business.
