Archant Information Services is predominantly based in Norwich with support roles in our regional offices in Cheltenham, Barking, Stevenage, Ipswich and Weston-super-Mare. We are responsible for providing IT support to Archant’s employees throughout the Group. Day to day, this starts with our in-house 1st line Service Desk, through to 2nd and 3rd line technical support teams. Internal development teams support business needs and requirements to deliver small, medium and large projects as well as maintaining our in-house bespoke software for our editorial, design, finance, HR and sales departments.

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Desktop Support Analyst to join our team. The role will be based between our Cheltenham and Weston-super-Mare offices and will involve regular travel to our offices in Warrington, Exeter and Barnstaple, for which a pool car will be available.

This is an excellent opportunity for a team player with experience in an IT support environment to develop their career.

Our ideal candidate will be able to prove their skills and have a desire to develop their knowledge as well as the ability to provide excellent customer service. You will possess or be able to demonstrate the following:

  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft operating systems and software applications
  • The ability to build and install PCs and peripherals to given standards and timescales
  • Knowledge of ITIL, preferably certified to foundation stage
  • Relevant IT qualifications and experience in desktop support
  • The ability to provide guidance and advice to customers and colleagues
  • A logical approach to problem solving
  • The ability to build relationships and communicate at all levels
  • A “can-do” approach
  • The ability to plan and prioritise own work whilst working to deadlines
  • The ability to work on your own initiative as well as within a team environment
  • Full valid driving licence

Salary up to £25,000 (depending on experience) plus five weeks annual leave and a contributory pension scheme.
