We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Account Manager to work on our much-loved Let’s Talk magazine. The magazine mixes nostalgia and human interest stories with features for those eager to get-up-and-go! And there are the popular puzzle pages plus a reader advice section with help from a panel of experts.
As the Account Manager for this fantastic magazine you will sell print and digital advertising solutions to businesses throughout East Anglia. Working from our head office in Norwich city centre you will be part of a vibrant team and involved in sales, layout and features to ensure the ongoing success of this popular magazine.
For the main part you will be calling existing or lapsed businesses to gain their future advertising requirements, helping them understand forthcoming features that link nicely to their industry and other new and exciting developments the magazine is offering. You will have a consultative approach and develop great rapport with advertisers ensuring that you do everything possible to achieve their aims through advertising and that they get a great return on their investment.
With a clear focus on your monthly target you will be motivated and inspired to achieve your personal advertising revenue ensuring that your pre-book increases and with additional cross-selling will work well with the wider team members to create success in the magazine business in East Anglia.
As well as sales this role gives an exciting dimension to work closely with the editorial teams and plan layout and options for your advertisers. You are wholly responsible for this magazine and its advertising content and layout, working closely with the editors you have influence on features, content and approval before the magazine goes to print. You will also manage payment and credit control issues that arise as well as chasing clients for their copy approval in plenty of time to meet print deadlines.
We see this role developing to provide opportunities to attend road shows to not only promote the magazine but also meet current or potential advertising clients face to face.
