Cotswold Life magazine celebrates the very best aspects of life in this fabulous region – all wrapped up in a beautiful monthly magazine. At the heart of the magazine are features on villages, towns and cities, society occasions and food & drink events, hotels and restaurants, as well as theatre, drama, ballet, music, festivals and family entertainment.

Cotswold Life is the market-leading lifestyle magazine in the area and celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2017. We also run the leading Food & Drink Awards event in the Cotswolds, which has been running for over 15 years.

We are currently recruiting for an Account Manager to sell print and digital advertising solutions on this popular publication to businesses throughout Wiltshire, Oxfordshire and South Cotswolds, as well as presenting sponsorship opportunities for the Food & Drink Awards.

As an Account Manager you will be working from our Cheltenham office with the majority of your time spent visiting clients, presenting our portfolio of products, learning and listening and providing credible consultations with businesses throughout the area. You will be supported by a manager with daily communication, a weekly team meeting and monthly 1-1 meetings.

The challenge for local media businesses to remain relevant to their core SME customers is significant. An integral part of the role is to build a strong business network of contacts by attending local events and becoming the face of local media advertising and a trusted advisor to these businesses.

The challenging yet fulfilling role will really give you the chance to shine and develop existing long-term relationships to the next level. Alongside a professional sales approach, you must be able to communicate at all levels, as well as delivering concise and relevant presentations alongside questions and answer sessions at senior level.

PLEASE APPLY IF YOU HAVE:

  • Proven media sales experience
  • Proven track record in selling to SMEs/professional businesses
  • Excellent business acumen and ability to converse well with senior contacts
  • Ability to build networks at functions and through social media
  • Advertising/marketing/local media knowledge or background
  • Preference to win new business and create own leads
  • Working knowledge of print and digital solutions
  • Ability to work well with editors and contributors
  • Ability to create inspiring campaigns and advertising solutions

SALARY, BONUS & BENEFITS

  • Salary up to £23,000
  • Achievable monthly commission structure and on-target earnings of £8400 per anum.
