Jeff Henry Chief Executive

Jeff Henry joined Archant as Chief Executive in September 2014. He was most recently the CEO of Filmflex Movies, a joint venture between Sony Pictures Television and The Walt Disney Company, which he developed into one of the largest white label, video on demand (VOD) businesses in Europe. FilmFlex Movies powered the film VOD services for companies like Virgin Media, EE and TalkTalk. He steered its successful development over three years and oversaw its sale to Vubiquity in May 2014. Jeff has held senior management positions at a number of companies including Scottish TV, NYNEX and London News Network. He has successfully launched a number of new cable channels and digital platforms, first as CEO at Granada Sky Broadcasting and then across Europe for the Hallmark Channel. After this, he joined ITV as the CEO of ITV Consumer where he was responsible for building a business focussed on local digital and consumer revenues.

Brian McCarthy Chief Operating Officer

Brian McCarthy joined the Board as Finance Director in November 2008. Brian is a Fellow of Chartered Accountants Ireland, having qualified with Arthur Andersen in Dublin and Cambridge, and joined Archant in January 2004 as Finance Director of Archant Regional. Previously he worked as Finance Director of an environmental company and prior to that he held a series of senior finance roles in the English Language Division of Pearson Education. He is also a Director of the Newspaper Licensing Agency and a Trustee of Transforming Education in Norfolk.

Dee Willmott Chief HR & Development Officer

Dee Willmott joined Archant as Group HR Director in January 2011. At the beginning of 2013 her role expanded to include Learning and Development. After graduating from Trinity College Dublin with a BA in Business Studies she joined ICI and started her HR career in 1987. She joined General Electric in 1994 and during her time with them she held a variety of senior business HR roles. Latterly she was European HR Director for a component of GE Capital. Dee moved to Norfolk in 2003 and set up her own HR consultancy focusing on Leadership Development, Executive coaching to a variety of companies in the Financial Services, Healthcare, Media and Private equity sectors. Dee is also a qualified Executive and Life Coach with the International Federation of Coaching.

Matt Kelly Chief Content Officer

Matt Kelly joined Archant in November 2015 as Chief Content Officer, responsible for content strategy and execution across all platforms and products. He joins Archant from UK regional newspaper group Local World where he was Group Digital Director. Matt’s career began in local and regional press, as a reporter and sub-editor on the Formby Times and Liverpool Echo. Since then Matt has held a number of senior positions at The Daily Mirror, including Head of Features and Associate Editor. As Publisher and Director of Content of Mirror Group Digital, he led the development of Mirror Online and launched Mirror Football and showbiz site 3am. In addition, Matt was director of Barcelona-based consultancy Cases i Associats, leading the digital transformation of Argentina’s market leading newspaper, Clarín. Matt is also Chairman of the Global Editor’s Network annual summit – an annual gathering of more than 500 publishers and editors-in-chief from across the world.

Craig Nayman Executive Director for Archant Dialogue

Craig Nayman has joined Dialogue as Executive Director following a three year stint as Chief Commercial Officer for Archant. Craig originally joined Archant from the Red Cannon Consultancy where he worked on commercial development with brands such as Arsenal FC, The All England Club (Wimbledon), Bath Rugby, DCM (Digital Cinema Media), Sky, TV 3 in Ireland, and Chinese Central Television. Prior to that Craig was Head of Corporate Sales at Arsenal FC and also spent eight years at ITV.

Peter Timperley Executive Director, Magazines

Peter Timperley joined Archant in 2013 heading up the Specialist magazine division having completed a year with Global Reviews, an Australian data insight company, working alongside various national companies including Nationwide Building Society, Ladbrokes, William Hill and British Gas. Prior to this he worked with several publishers in the UK in both print and digital roles.
