London appoints editorial director to boost digital plans
Archant London has made a new senior editorial appointment to help take its ambitious digital strategy forward.
Laura Adams will take on the role of Digital Editorial Director from the end of November.
Since joining Archant in 2008, Laura has held senior editorial roles including Deputy Editor at the Ham&High and Editor of the Barking and Dagenham Post.
Archant London Managing Director Will Hattam said: “Laura will play a key role in the division’s digital strategy in 2013 and beyond, inspiring the editorial development of London24 and the local news sites.”
“This is an exciting time for Archant London and its online presence – particularly London24 – and I look forward to working with the team to continue the work that has been done in developing our websites,” said Laura.
Laura will report to Archant London's Digital Director, Paul Hood.
Paul said: “I'm delighted that Laura is joining as Digital Editorial Director. This is an important new senior role; to lead the editorial strategy of London24 team and to work closely with the Group Editors to make sure that we make the best of the content of our newspaper websites also.
“This is an important appointment which will further build on the great work that the existing editorial team have done in London over the past year or so.”
