Archant honours staff heroes

Community media company Archant recognized dozens of its staff from around the country at its annual internal awards lunch at the Landmark Hotel in London on January 20.

Archant chief executive Adrian Jeakings declared the occasion one of his favourite of the year, as he addressed 230 Archant Award divisional award winners.

“Our award winners are the people who have delivered extra-ordinary results whether they work in the front line in sales and editorial or in the back office and support functions. They are the crème de la crème of our industry and I am proud to be able stand up here and hand out the awards,” said Adrian.

“2011 was not the easiest year I’ve ever seen for Archant or for the country as a whole and 2012 is not looking much easier but the things that we have done over the past twelve months put us in a very strong position to deal with whatever comes along in the next twelve,” said Adrian. “Whatever else happens, a relentless focus on satisfying the needs of our customers will stand us in good stead in the difficult times that we face.”
