Archant's Lancashire Life staged a stunning celebration of locally produced food and drink during a glittering awards evening held near Blackburn.
Twelve awards were presented to chefs, hoteliers, dining pubs, retailers and food producers from Lancashire and the Lake District - in an evening hosted by television presenter Andy Crane.
It was a particularly special evening as the awards, which have been running for 20 years, were devoted solely to establishments within the Lancashire Life circulation area for the first time.
Archant's North Marketing Manager, Kate Wilson, who organised the awards, said: "Previously our awards were staged jointly with Cheshire Life. They were extremely successful but they grew so large that we felt they were losing a little of their identity. Both titles now have separate awards and both events have exceeded our expectations."
Around 200 guests were welcomed to the Mercure Dunkenhalgh Hotel by Group Editor, Roger Borrell and Archant Magazines’ Commercial Director, Tim Thurston who spoke passionately about the need to ‘buy local’ – a message warmly received by the audience.
