Archant hosts employability workshop for college students

Posted on

On Wednesday 2 November, students from Norwich City College attended a workshop on 'What’s next after college' at Archant's Head Office, Prospect House.

The workshop was run by Archant’s Kaye Mason (HR Advisor), James Broughton (Recruitment Advisor) and Emily Thacker-Seaman (Regional Recruitment Sales Team Leader) and was attended by 19 students from the college.

Topics included:

  • How to get ‘work ready’
  • Creating the perfect CV
  • How to prepare for your first job interview

Presentations were also given by a variety of Archant employees who explained their job roles in more detail, talked about the different departments within Archant, and explained how their role contributed to the success of the business.

“I was approached by Norwich City College to help their students with their next steps after college and, as Archant has offered workshops like this previously, we were happy to help” said Kaye Mason.

The workshop was also well received by the College, with lecturer Sue Linton saying - “Thank you all so much for the excellent session on Wednesday morning. The Travel and Tourism students all agreed that it was a really useful and fun morning which gave them lots to think about. They were so pleased with the feedback you gave about CVs and can see where they can make improvements to give them a better chance of getting interviews in the future.”

We wish all the students luck in their future roles.
