Go Flying is part of the Archant Specialist portfolio, the consumer magazine division of Archant which is also responsible for titles such as Photography Monthly, Airgun World, Canal Boat, Sport Diver and Pilot magazine.
The 68-page free bi-monthly A3 magazine sits alongside Pilot in the fiercely competitive world of aviation publishing, with a circulation of 20,000.
The title was launched at the start of March 2007 and sees 12,000 copies distributed to the UK’s 200 flying clubs and a further 8,000 posted directly to aircraft owners.
The magazine’s mission statement is ‘to provide a bright, lively, interesting flying magazine available to all that support clubs, schools and pilots — and to encourage people, whether pilots or not, to go flying’.
It is a sister title to Specialist’s paid-for Pilot - Britain’s biggest-selling general aviation magazine - and enables the company to have an even bigger footprint in the market.
Because Pilot is so highly respected in the marketplace, top quality editorial and production values are a crucial ingredient for Go Flying!
Printed on quality newsprint at Archant’s Thorpe Print Centre, a pure white high quality wraparound cover stock has been added for better front page picture reproduction to give the new magazine an edge over its rivals.
