Archant helps couples get hitched without the hitches with WeddingSite.co.uk


Community media publisher Archant has announced the launch of www.WeddingSite.co.uk, a digital platform that aims to revolutionise the way couples plan their wedding and offers a range of online tools to assist brides, grooms and wedding planners in organising their big day.

The launch signals Archant’s further expansion into the weddings business segment, complementing the company’s existing portfolio of Wedding Shows and BRIDE magazines.

WeddingSite is a revolutionary digital platform that takes the hassle out of the wedding organization process.

A recent survey by OnePoll found that the average UK couple spends around 200 hours planning their wedding and 40% of people think the process is more stressful than their job, with the biggest worry for both men and women being finalizing the guest list and organising the seating plan.

Built on a sophisticated proprietary technology platform, WeddingSite pulls the key elements of wedding planning into a single user account, automating a host of tasks a bride-to-be would typically have to do, while providing the real-time status update 24/7.

It can even suggest a personalised wedding plan, including a tailored budget for each item based on the overall budget and a to-do list leading up to the big day. All of this means that bits of paper, spreadsheets and guesswork are a thing of the past - as are the nasty surprises, financial or otherwise.

The service is free to users and, with thousands of weddings already being planned through WeddingSite following a ‘beta’ launch earlier in the year. It’s clear that savvy brides-to-be are already finding the product an integral part of their wedding organisation process.
