02.04.08 Archant Life launches new magazine
Archant Life has announced the launch of North East Life, a quality monthly magazine circulating from the Tees to the Tweed.
North East Life will celebrate all that’s finest about this amazing region, with its strong industrial heritage, its wild and beautiful countryside and its passionate people.
The first edition features interviews with football legend Sir Bobby Robson, singer songwriter Chris Rea and TV presenter Matt Baker. The region’s heritage is celebrated with features on Brancepeth, Norton, Hexham and Bamburgh. Food and wine, property, the arts and society pictures will all be featured every month.
Archant Life, Britain’s biggest publisher of regional magazines, has expanded the former Durham County Life into North East Life. Edited by respected North East journalist Anne Graham, the magazine will serve the historical and geographical boundaries that encompass the counties of Northumberland, Durham, Tyne and Wear and Tees Valley.
“We are delighted to expand into the North East,” said Archant Life regional managing director Liz Page. “There is a clear gap in the market for a quality county-style publication which meets the same high standards as our other magazines.
“We aim to grow circulation quickly to provide an unbeatable service to advertisers and readers. All the North East Life team are from the region and share our passion for promoting this great area of Britain.”
North East Life will be competitively priced at £1.95 and is available through major supermarkets and newsagents. Production is being handled at Archant Life’s northern headquarters in Preston and the title is printed at William Gibbons & Sons Limited.
