An exciting role has arisen within our Stevenage office for a Media Sales Executive. This is a first-class career opportunity for a sales-focussed individual who will enjoy speaking with prospective advertisers and existing clients and providing them with creative, client-focussed advertising campaigns in both print and digital. This role is working with a range of media titles that include The Herts Advertiser and The Comet.
You will work as part of a team focusing on increasing advertising revenues in our print and digital titles, creating excellent relationships with new and existing customers.
This opportunity is a telephone-based sales role that will see you selling print and digital advertising campaigns and solutions to local businesses. As well as managing existing clients you will also work with new clients, inspiring them with genuine cost-effective ideas and solutions tailor-made for their business.
You must be comfortable with a consultative approach to selling. A background in media sales is preferable, but more essential is your negotiation skills, confidence, impressive sales presentation and closing techniques that demonstrate you excel in a target driven-environment.
You are a motivated individual with experience working in a fast-paced telephone sales environment, with a thorough understanding of the sales process and a professional, consultative approach.
You are confident picking up the telephone and will enjoy building relationships and communicating the benefits of our market-leading advertising services, and will be used to anticipating and overcoming objections.
You are a charismatic and proactive self-starter who enjoys working on your own initiative, and are outgoing, personable and unwaveringly positive. You are also highly organised with exceptional attention to detail, and while we’re not looking for techie geeks, you are a web user and know your Twitter from your Instagram.
Above all else, you are a trustworthy and hardworking individual, passionate about selling and someone who gets a real buzz from hunting for sales and achieving results, whilst thriving under the pressure of a target-driven environment.
